I've made a version for Windows that is not a system shell like the regular LCARS 24. I does the same intro but then goes directly to the LCARS Library, where one column is LCARS programs, and the other columns are for SFML, images, and text files. So no HTML, no clock, no options menu or settings, no file manager, but still a lot of nice stuff, omitting the things that Windows is uptight about or the Windows-based programming tools don't support.
It's not want I wanted, but it's there, and I've made it shareware in order to accelerate development of the real LCARS 24 and enable me to buy equipment to take a crack at a Linux port and other aspects of development that require new equipment.
Here's the link to this new Web site, which itself is something to see, since all the text was generated by LCARS 24 itself, using no TrueType at all.
